Colombia, Pichinde Natural
Pichinde comes to us from the Immaculada farms in the Andes region of Colombia. The coffee farm has been in Holguin Ramos' family for over 90 years. They grow their crops using an agroforestry method that intersperses a diverse selection of crops within the coffee trees to promote biodiversity.
The farm is currently comprised of 44 families, up from just 10 families in 2010. This is a naturally processed coffee that is dried in the sun with the fruit of the coffee cherry intact. This process creates big fruit forward flavors of ripe peaches.
