Colombia, Valeria comes to us from Valeria Pino in Antioquia, Montebello.
Valeria is 16 years old and is just starting her coffee growing career. She wanted to name each of her coffees after a member of her family. This coffee, Valeria, is named after herself and in her words "Valeria is the duality between citric and sweetness. and that’s me. I can be hard sometimes, but I always want to be kind and do well."
The coffee was harvested and then fermented in small batches as full cherries for 12 hours. It is then depulped and allowed to ferment for an additional 24 hours before being washed and dried in silos.
This coffee is the first coffee we have purchased from the amazing people over at Unblended. Unblended works with coffee farmers to increase the quality of their coffees and helps them learn experimental fermentation techniques to bring out incredible and unique flavors in coffee.
We are incredibly excited to work with Unblended and to represent Valeria's hard work and effort.
Look for big flavors of pomegranate and black cherry with a lingering floral aftertaste.
